Diary Sessions: Day 17

On day 17, the diary room was buzzing with mixed feelings around nominations with a particularly blue M'am Bea expressing that she didn't quite see that coming.

Other than that the big question, or rather the big promise from housemates was a fashion, hair and beauty task presentation that would blow his socks of. Housemates were nervous about this particular presentation because it was a challenging task and they had, for a third week in a row, put 100% of their eggs in this basket. Blame of on the high of a winning streak but many hoped it would continue.

Housemates couldn't have spotted the wager loss that was headed their way from a far.

Sheillah, having chopped her locks off, was a highlight in the diary sessions. Was this a sign that she was committed to the integrity of the task? Either way she got a thumbs up from us. A beaming picture she told Biggie she simply loved her new look.

With Nhlanhla as Head of House many were looking at them as a power couple of sorts, but she responded that housemates had already started calling her "boss lady" way before Nhlanhla's reign. She attributed this to her stern and straightforward nature. While she was a sweetie-pie she had no problems speaking her mind.

In his diary session Nhlanhla was, as he always is, candid about his relationship with Sheillah as well as his strategy. He revealed that his relationship with Sheillah was evolving, no longer just fun and games. They both shared mutual feelings for one another and while this was complicated he would have to adapt to it in his game-plan.

On being a power couple he said that it was a good and a bad thing because while some housemates – and viewers – enjoyed it, it rendered them a target. He also admitted to spending most of his time with her and that they were getting closer. Could the two be getting too attached?

After revealing their nominations to each other, M'am Bea and Samantha wondered if Nhlanhla's relationship would play a role in his HoH reign.

Many said that Nhlanhla was the best HoH so far with Trezagah and Tayo pointing out that as a leader he made sure he did it first or did it best. Mr.265 agreed and told Biggie that after he fell out with Nhlanhla last week they managed to bury the hatchet. But, Mr.265 continued, he felt Nhlanhla was being suspiciously overly friendly and wondered if he had been added to the pool of nominations.

There were many reasons for people to nominate others but it seemed Nhlanhla and Sheillah were playing a game against the world and would fight to remain safe in the house.
