DJ Twist To Spin The Decks At Friday Night Party

Jose Joao, better known as DJ Twist sprightly host of The Empty Fridge on Fresh FM is set to fire up the turn tables at Friday night's famous Channel O party. Representing Namibia this week, DJ Twist is elated to have been invited to herd this sheep of party-hungry Hotshots, and after last Friday's thrills and spills this was a party we didn't want to miss.

We caught up with the electrifying MC and jockey for a quick catch up.

Well versed in various musical genres DJ Twist expressed a soft-spot he has for old school music. This seems to be a growing trend amongst DJ's and musicians. That being said however, he love giving the crowd what they want which is often the latest and freshest.

From a young and tender age Twist has always been an entertainer but was set to follow in the producer-footsteps of his father and even considering embarking on an upright path as a lawyer. Boy are we glad the lad came to his senses and headed for a radio station to pursue music. He has since been serving Namibia the finest of dance tunes.

His musical influences include DJ's Bantu Soul, Euphonik, Kent and jazz pianist Bob James for texture. With all these layers the housemates are in for a party like no other.

Twist reckons he'd do well as a housemate but figures Luis and Permithias are a good pair to represent Namibia.

We look forward to a stellar set by DJ Twist at the Channel O party on Friday night.
