BBC Entertainment has revealed its line-up for the season 2 celebrity episode of Come Dine With Me South Africa.

The episode will be aired on 5 November at 20.00 on DStv Channel 120.

Come Dine With Me South Africa is a local version of ITV Studios' UK show and has been a huge ratings success for BBC Worldwide Channels who re-commissioned the show for a second series.

With the season two premiere on 24 September, the show saw a 93% ratings increase, with each week topping that success.

Sharpened culinary skills

The celebrity special episode will see the four celebrity contestants who will cook for one another and try to impress their fellow hosts with their hosting and culinary skills.

Apart from seeing what the celebs will be cooking, producers revealed that the viewer will be able to see the rival hosts snooping around each other's houses, with much snide commentary which is characteristic of the show.

Harry Sideropoulos promises viewers a very entertaining episode filled with laughter and memorable moments as each of the hosts try and guess what it is that they are eating.

"The wheels come off very early in the episode and there is no stopping this truck destined for a cliff, albeit a cliff with one hell of a view," Harry said.

Koula, who's a big fan of Come Dine With Me, said she was trilled to be one of the contestants.

"I enjoy cooking but I love baking much more so viewers will have to see if my main course is on a par with my dessert.  Hopefully my guests had a really fun evening with some really tasty food, although I have a feeling that perhaps I should've chosen a simpler menu!"

'Cook what you know'

David Kibuuka however believed that he went into the competition with the right mindset. "I met a wonderful bunch of people and had a fantastic time but my advice to anyone going on Come Dine With Me is "Cook what you know"!"

"Being on CDWM was such an awesome experience," Lerato Sengadi dished on the episode.

"Apart from putting my culinary skills and hosting skills to the test it also gave me a chance to meet three new people.  Viewers will have to wait and see if they are evil, conceited competitors or the sweetest people ever. But however the evenings turned out, my outfits were always fab."

BBC Worldwide Channels Executive Producer Tracy Forsyth is really pleased with the celebrity special episode.

"Lerato Sengadi, Koula, Harry Sideropoulous and David Kibuuka are hugely entertaining as they let us into their homes and show us what they are made of in the kitchen.

"The culinary skills of this foursome are varied and the menus range from the sublime to the ridiculous, the table talk is eye-opening and hosting skills everything you would expect from personalities in the public eye."
