Housemates had a lot of fun getting into character for tonight's presentation and they all did a brilliant job channeling former housemates.
JJ opened the talk show, which he entitled the BBA Hotshots' Hot Seat, slipping into the character of IK, enhancing his portrayal with a sharp-looking suit. He was a great presenter, thinking on his feet as he introduced and interviewed the various guests and doing so with a lot of energy.
The first guest was Macky2 as Sulu and he did an excellent job with his fellow Zambian's big personality, talking and gesticulating enthusiastically and complaining about the way the Hotshots stashed alcohol.
Joining him on stage was Sipe as her countrywoman Natasha, bemoaning the Hotshots' inability to create drama. Both of them, as their respective characters, showed that in spite of everything the ex-housemates had put them through, they could look back on it as a joke.
M’am Bea captured Ellah's grace and poise, and JJ got very mischievous when he asked her about her relationships in the house. "Ellah" immediately mentioned Idris, but "IK" said he had actually been referring to Butterphly.
Hopping onto the stage to join "Ellah" was Idris, bringing Denzel to life through body, voice and costume. He got raunchy on stage, just like the Denzel we know, while he clutched a drink to his chest and propped himself on the arm of the couch.
Idris really nailed the voice of the ex-housemate, as did Tayo coming on stage as Frankie. He even brought up the incident where he said he would break Tayo's neck and "IK" prompted him to sing his song about Ellah.
The model-with-a-qualification was back, as Nhlanhla channelled Luis and belted out his song for Mira and talked about how much he wished everyone would just get along. Butterphly, up last as Vimbai, lowered her voice to emulate her fellow Zimbabwean.
This task made it clear how well the housemates had come to know each other, even if they did not always get along. Who do you think did the best impersonation?

ReplyDeleteMarcky 2 and Idris! They really made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteWow, the housemates are all good, but Idriss and JJ the best for me. love them to bits. hope one of them wins the grand prize.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion JJ was the most talented and entertaining character. If Africa is going to vote without a bias towards regionalism then JJ is poised for the coveted prize.
ReplyDeleteI'll be be happy if one of the "three suckers" wins
ReplyDeleteI watched the whole presentation and JJ and Mackey 2 made my nite.... it was good to watch the 8 remaining hotshots in action. I would be happier if Mackey 2 won as I know the prize money would be channeled to a noble cause.. the orphanage that he runs.... but may the best man/woman win this Sunday! Anonymous - Liberia
